Easy cinnamon-sugar apple wedges cooked in the air fryer, served with a quick caramel cream dip. A perfect fall snack or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium apples (Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Gala recommended)
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
  • For the Dip:
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Core the apples and cut them into 1/2-inch thick wedges.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Add the apple wedges to the bowl and toss to coat evenly.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter over the coated apples and toss again.
  5. Place the apple wedges in a single layer in your air fryer basket.
  6. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until tender and slightly browned.
  7. While the apples are cooking, prepare the dip. In a small bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, caramel sauce, and powdered sugar until smooth and slightly thickened.
  8. Serve the warm air fryer apple wedges immediately with the caramel cream dip.

Notes

  • For the dip, you can make it ahead and store it in the refrigerator. Whisk again before serving if it has separated.
  • Other apple varieties like Pink Lady or Jonagold also work well.
  • Adjust cinnamon and sugar to your preference.
