Make juicy, flavorful air fryer shrimp seasoned with garlic and Parmesan. This simple recipe cooks fast, perfect for a quick appetizer or light dinner.

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined (fresh or frozen, thawed)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. If using frozen shrimp, thaw them completely and pat them very dry with paper towels.
  2. In a medium bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, and oregano until evenly coated.
  3. Place the seasoned shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
  4. Air fry at 380°F (195°C) for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time, until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.
  5. Remove the shrimp from the air fryer. Immediately toss them with the grated Parmesan cheese until the cheese adheres.
  6. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.

  • Patting the shrimp very dry is key to achieving a crispy texture in the air fryer.
  • For a low carb shrimp air fryer option, skip the Parmesan or use a Parmesan substitute.
