You make this sweet, crunchy snack mix by coating Chex cereal with white chocolate and crushed Oreos, then dusting it with powdered sugar. It is an easy, no-bake dessert perfect for parties or movie nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 cups Chex cereal (Rice or Corn)
  • 10 ounces white chocolate melting wafers or chips
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar, plus extra for dusting
  • 1 package (about 14.3 ounces) Oreo cookies, crushed

Instructions

  1. Measure the Chex cereal into a very large bowl. Set aside.
  2. Place the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval, until completely smooth.
  3. Stir the peanut butter and vanilla extract into the melted white chocolate until fully combined.
  4. Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal in the large bowl. Gently stir until the cereal is evenly coated.
  5. Place the 1/2 cup of powdered sugar in a large zip-top bag. Add half of the coated cereal mixture to the bag. Seal the bag and shake until the cereal is lightly coated. Transfer the coated cereal to a large baking sheet or platter. Repeat with the remaining cereal and powdered sugar.
  6. Immediately sprinkle the crushed Oreo cookies over the warm, coated cereal. Gently toss the mix to distribute the cookie pieces.
  7. Let the Cookies and Cream Puppy Chow cool and set completely, about 10 minutes, before serving or storing.

Notes

  • For the best coating, use high-quality white chocolate melting wafers instead of standard white chocolate chips, as they melt smoother.
  • You can substitute the peanut butter with sunflower seed butter or skip it entirely if you have a nut allergy, but the chocolate coating may be slightly thinner.
  • Crush the Oreos in a food processor for a fine dust, or place them in a zip-top bag and crush them with a rolling pin for larger chunks.
