A quick and easy one-pan skillet dinner featuring tender pork chops in a rich garlic Parmesan cream sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs boneless pork chops, about 1-inch thick
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and Italian seasoning. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce begins to thicken.
  7. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Return the pork chops to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them. Let them simmer in the sauce for 1-2 minutes to heat through.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra tender pork chops, avoid overcooking them. Use a meat thermometer to ensure they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  • Serve with your favorite sides like mashed potatoes, steamed spinach, or a simple salad.
  • You can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce for a hint of spice.
