- 1 medium cucumber, peeled and roughly chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, packed
- 2 cups cold water
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1 teaspoon raw sugar (optional, for slight sweetness)
- Ice cubes
- Place the chopped cucumber and mint leaves into a blender.
- Add 1 cup of the cold water to the blender.
- Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth.
- Pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve set over a bowl, pressing down on the solids to extract all the liquid. Discard the pulp.
- Stir the lime juice and optional sugar into the cucumber-mint liquid.
- Add the remaining 1 cup of cold water to dilute the mixture to your preference.
- Serve immediately over ice cubes for a refreshing drink.
Notes
- For an extra detox water effect, let the strained liquid sit in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving.
- If you prefer a less intense mint flavor, reduce the mint leaves to 1/4 cup.
- To make this a sparkling drink, substitute half of the still water with club soda.
