Ingredients
Scale
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 box (18.3 ounces) fudge or dark chocolate brownie mix (do not prepare according to package directions)
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup milk (any kind)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (for mixing in and topping)
Instructions
Place the softened cream cheese in a large mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
Add the dry brownie mix, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to the bowl.
Mix on low speed until just combined, then increase speed to medium and beat until the mixture is completely smooth and resembles thick, spreadable batter. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
Gently fold in half of the mini chocolate chips.
Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Sprinkle the remaining mini chocolate chips over the top.
Serve immediately with your choice of dippers, or cover and chill for up to 2 hours before serving.
Notes
Serve this crowd pleasing dessert with pretzels, graham crackers, strawberries, apple slices, or vanilla wafers.
For a healthier brownie dip alternative, substitute Greek yogurt for the cream cheese and use almond flour based brownie mix or cocoa powder with a sweetener.
This recipe is safe to eat raw because it contains no eggs and uses heat-treated flour from the boxed mix.
