Make this creamy, cafe-style Korean strawberry milk at home using fresh strawberries and a simple syrup. It is a quick, refreshing drink perfect for brunch or a sweet treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or oat milk for dairy-free)
  • Optional: Whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Combine the sliced strawberries, sugar, and water in a small saucepan.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the strawberries soften, about 5 to 7 minutes. The mixture will become syrupy.
  3. Use a fork or potato masher to gently mash the strawberries into a thick syrup. Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
  4. To assemble the drink, place 2 to 3 tablespoons of the cooled strawberry syrup into the bottom of a tall glass.
  5. Fill the glass with ice if serving cold.
  6. Pour 1 cup of your chosen milk over the syrup.
  7. Stir gently to combine the milk and syrup, creating a natural pink color.
  8. Top with whipped cream, if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a dairy-free option, substitute regular milk with oat milk or almond milk.
  • To make this a viral TikTok drink, layer the syrup, milk, and ice carefully for a distinct pink separation before stirring.
  • You can make the strawberry syrup ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to one week.
