Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup crushed pretzels
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the peanut butter and powdered sugar. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and well combined.
  3. Spread the peanut butter mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
  4. In a separate microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips with the coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until completely smooth.
  5. Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer. Spread it gently to cover the surface.
  6. Sprinkle the crushed pretzels evenly over the melted chocolate layer. Gently press them down slightly so they adhere.
  7. Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for at least 1 hour, or until the bark is completely firm.
  8. Lift the bark out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Break or cut the bark into irregular pieces. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet.
  • If you prefer a thicker layer of peanut butter, use a smaller pan, like a 7×5 inch pan.
  • This recipe works well as a Holiday Bark Recipe for easy gifting.
