Make this restaurant-style Marry Me Chicken in one skillet. It features tender chicken breasts in a rich, creamy Parmesan sauce with sun-dried tomatoes. This easy date night recipe is ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, drained and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the chicken breasts for 5 to 7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F or 74°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Let it simmer for 1 minute.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and chopped sun-dried tomatoes. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer.
  7. Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and thickened. Do not let the sauce boil after adding the cheese.
  8. Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet. Spoon the sauce over the chicken.
  9. Simmer for 2 minutes to heat the chicken through.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil before serving. Serve this creamy chicken dinner immediately.

Notes

  • For Marry Me Chicken Pasta, cook 8 ounces of your favorite pasta according to package directions. Toss the cooked pasta directly into the skillet with the chicken and sauce before serving.
  • You can substitute chicken thighs for breasts if you prefer. Adjust cooking time as needed.
  • Use oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes for the best flavor.
