Make this simple, non-alcoholic mojito iced tea for a sophisticated, refreshing drink perfect for any time you want a flavorful mocktail.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups strong brewed black tea, chilled
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup (or to taste)
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, lightly muddled
  • 2 limes, thinly sliced
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Brew your black tea strongly and chill it completely.
  2. In a pitcher, gently muddle the fresh mint leaves with the simple syrup to release the oils. Do not over-muddle.
  3. Add the chilled black tea and fresh lime juice to the pitcher. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  4. Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness or lime juice as needed for your preference.
  5. To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour the mojito iced tea over the ice.
  6. Garnish each glass with a few fresh mint sprigs and thin lime slices.

Notes

  • For a quicker simple syrup, heat equal parts sugar and water until the sugar dissolves, then cool completely.
  • You can substitute green tea for black tea if you prefer a lighter flavor profile.
  • This non alcoholic drink recipe scales easily for larger gatherings.
