  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely minced
  • 2 tablespoons capers, drained and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

  2. Add the chopped smoked salmon, minced red onion, chopped capers, fresh dill, lemon zest, 1 teaspoon of everything bagel seasoning, and black pepper to the bowl.
  3. Use a rubber spatula or hand mixer on low speed to combine all ingredients until they are evenly mixed and creamy. Do not overmix.
  4. Taste the dip and adjust seasoning if needed.
  5. Cover the bowl and chill the smoked salmon dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Before serving, transfer the dip to a serving dish, sprinkle the top with extra everything bagel seasoning, and serve with bagel crisps or sliced bagels.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use high-quality cold smoked salmon.
  • If you prefer a smoother texture, you can pulse the ingredients briefly in a food processor instead of mixing by hand.
  • This dip keeps well in the refrigerator for up to three days.
