Easy strawberry and cream magic bars with a buttery crust, creamy filling, and fresh strawberry topping. Perfect for bake sales and potlucks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter and graham cracker crumbs. Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form the crust.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Pour the condensed milk mixture evenly over the graham cracker crust.
  5. Arrange the sliced strawberries over the condensed milk layer. If using, sprinkle the white chocolate chips over the strawberries.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
  7. Let the bars cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For clean cuts, chill the bars in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
  • Store leftover bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • You can substitute other berries like blueberries or raspberries for the strawberries.
