Make this creamy White Christmas Margarita for a festive, refreshing holiday cocktail. This recipe uses coconut cream and lime for a snowy look and is simple to prepare for your next Christmas party.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz silver tequila
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz orange liqueur (like Cointreau or Triple Sec)
  • 2 oz unsweetened coconut milk or cream
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional Garnish: Lime wheel, shredded coconut for rim

Instructions

  1. Prepare your glasses: Run a lime wedge around the rim of your margarita or coupe glasses. Dip the rim into shredded coconut if desired.
  2. Combine ingredients: Add the tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, coconut milk, and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker.
  3. Add ice: Fill the shaker two-thirds full with ice cubes.
  4. Shake well: Seal the shaker and shake hard until the outside of the shaker is very cold, about 20 seconds. This chills and slightly froths the drink.
  5. Strain: Double strain the mixture into your prepared glass filled with fresh ice (or serve up without ice for a stronger drink).
  6. Garnish: Add a lime wheel to the rim. Serve this festive tequila drink immediately.

Notes

  • For a pitcher recipe serving 8, multiply all ingredient amounts by 4. Mix all ingredients except ice in a large pitcher and chill for at least 2 hours. Add ice to individual glasses when serving.
  • To create a White Christmas Cranberry Margarita, add 0.5 oz of cranberry juice per serving just before garnishing, or layer it gently at the bottom of the glass.
  • Use high-quality silver tequila for the best flavor in this coconut milk margarita.
